Greta is a sweet 7-year-old who has battled epilepsy for the over 6 1/2 years. Greta started having absence seizures at 5 months of age and was diagnosed with Infantile Spasms shortly after. Greta’s epilepsy has developed into Lennox Gastaut Syndrome despite numerous medications, corpus callosotomy surgery, the ketogenic diet and now the GARD diet.
Despite her daily seizures, Greta has been an inspiration to so many with her smile, her courage and her love for people. Greta often times smiles at her mom or dad when the seizures are done, her way of telling them she is ok.
Greta was able to start Charlottes Web cannabis oil in November and so far has seen a nice reduction in seizure activity. Prior to CW, Greta was having 12-15 seizures a day, and currently is averaging 4-6 a day. She has also been able to get off of 3 out of 5 of her epilepsy medications. Her family’s prayer is to continue to improve with CW, and their ultimate goal is for seizure freedom and for Greta to be able to start talking. They are so thankful for everyone who has been a part of Greta getting access to CW. The possibility of this miracle for their little girl and so many others is such a blessing.
